This one pot meal carries the Martie-lekkerbek-seal-of-approval.
- Chicken 4x drumsticks and 4x thighs - skin and excess fat removed (Pick n Pay)
- 1x onion
- 250 g sliced mushrooms
- 250 g baby butternuts
- 3x medium sized potatoes
- Coarse sea salt
- Chicken spice
Take a pot (saucepan) and arrange the eight pieces of chicken at the bottom. Sprinkle the chicken with spice and salt. Chop the onion on top; add the mushrooms and sprinkel with cumin. Peal the potatoes; cut in thick slices and place on top of the mushrooms. Slice the baby butternuts in half and place on top. Add about 150 ml of water; place the lid on the pot; place on stove and cook until tender.
